The position
PNO Group is expanding rapidly across Europe. Our IT team, mainly based in the Netherlands, provides Workspace and Infrastructure services to all PNO companies (7 countries, 22 offices). We're now looking for an experienced Service Desk Engineer to join our office in Rome.
You will support end-users with technical issues, administer various applications, and participate in key projects and implementations. This dynamic role requires a proactive professional who can adapt to our growing organizational needs. You will play a pivotal part in our international collaboration. As the first person in our International team, you help us further shape the departmental processes.
The PNO Group is currently growing fast with a clear strategy and ambition. Since newly acquired companies are joining the group, we need to make sure the IT team is collaborating well to ensure our new colleagues can enjoy the same level of functionality, performance, and security as the rest of the group.
Tasks & Responsibilities
In the position of Service Desk Engineer you will have the following tasks and responsibilities;
- Provide IT support for end users, handling various issues like laptop malfunctions, email problems, account fixes, and printer setup. Act as the primary contact for IT support in Italy, assisting users in their native language.
- Manage access and licenses, configure settings, provide user instructions for various (SaaS) applications, and contribute to application functionality.
- Assist in IT change, implementation, and migration projects, supporting senior PNO Group IT staff, colleagues, and possibly external specialists in delivering changes to current systems, applications, or other IT projects.
- Serve as a liaison between the IT teams of Innovation Engineering in Italy and PNO Group IT, fostering closer collaboration and synergy.
- Assist with documentation and administration, especially concerning compliance in regards to GDPR, ISO 27001, and other regulations.

About you
- You have at least an IT-related diploma
- You have at least 5-10 years of work experience in roles, preferably within an international organization.
- You have 2-3 years of experience in IT services, preferably in a Microsoft environment.
- You are curious, you can analyze problems and communicate clearly about them.
- You are service-oriented and enjoy helping people.
- You’re a self-starter, you can organize and set priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; write and speak Italian at native level.
- Participation in national and international innovative projects, in an international and rapidly growing organization.
- Permanent contract: salary and classification will be commensurate with previous experience.
- A salary between 25 – 30K a year, depending on the experience you bring to PNO.
